BTP Software LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit btpsoftware.com or use our products, including Glass Binder, Formation Lab, and Calendar Cat.

Information We Collect

Website visits: We may collect standard web analytics data such as pages visited, browser type, and referring URL. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

Contact information: If you contact us via email, we collect the information you provide (name, email address, message content) to respond to your inquiry.

Product usage: Our individual products may collect additional data as described in their respective privacy policies.

Calendar Cat and Calendar Data

Calendar Cat is a macOS app that reminds you about upcoming meetings. To do this, it can connect to Google Calendar and to Apple Calendar with your permission.

What we access: With your consent, Calendar Cat reads your calendar events using the Google Calendar read-only scope (calendar.readonly). It reads event titles, start and end times, meeting links, and your response status in order to display reminders and a “join meeting” button. It never creates, edits, or deletes events.

Where your data lives: All calendar data is processed on your Mac and is held only in memory for the current session. Nothing is uploaded to BTP Software LLC or to any third party. Your Google sign-in token is stored on your device, encrypted using macOS keychain-backed storage, so the app can refresh your calendar without asking you to sign in again.

What we do not do: We do not sell calendar data, use it for advertising, use it to train machine learning or AI models, or let humans read it, except with your explicit permission for support or where required by law.

Retention and deletion: Calendar event data is discarded as soon as it is no longer needed to show a reminder and is never written to disk. The only item retained is your encrypted sign-in token, which is deleted immediately when you disconnect Google Calendar from the Calendar Cat menu or uninstall the app. Because we hold no copy of your data on our servers, there is nothing further for us to delete. You can also revoke access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Calendar Cat’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
